By Marisol Becerra – Youth Ministry Office Support Assistant
Hello my name is Marisol Becerra. I’m from Baldwin Park, California and my home parish is St. John the Baptist. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2016 and I hope to begin a Master’s program in 2020 to become a licensed counselor. I have been a volunteer at my parish for the past 7 years. I help out with the middle school and high school youth programs. I recently helped start a young adult ministry as well. I had a major conversion when I was in middle school and that was the first time that I understood the magnitude of God’s love for me. Through the years, I have realized that youth ministry is one of my biggest passions because I get to share how Jesus changed my life, and help the youth encounter that same love that I experience every day. I am so excited to be working in the Salesian Youth Ministry offices. I am deeply inspired by St. John Bosco and his passion to lead the youth to encounter Christ through the joy and fulfillment that comes when living out our Catholic faith. I look forward to working to create environments and plan for events where teens have the opportunity to experience the love of God.
Thank you and blessings to all.
