The Salesian Family Youth Center of Los Angeles recently had the honor of participating in the ACCESS DC event, hosted by the LA Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC. This event provided a platform for small businesses to meet with members of Congress representing California and advocate for equal opportunities.
During these meetings, the Salesian Family Youth Center emphasized the significance of education for young people and how it plays a vital role in their future success. They highlighted the importance of investing in education and providing equal opportunities for all students.
The Salesian Family Youth Center also had the opportunity to meet with Shannon Jackson and Jorge Price, directors of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization at the Department of State and at the Department of Health and Human Services. The discussions focused on how to collaborate to better serve the local community and support small businesses.
