On the day of St. Dominic Savio, the Salesian Family Youth in the Parish of Santa Isabel and St. Mary’s came together to celebrate a very special occasion. This year’s celebration was particularly significant as it marked the first communion of the catechism members of both parishes. It was a day filled with joy and excitement as the children and adolescents received Jesus for the first time in their lives.
The celebration of St. Dominic Savio has always been a momentous occasion for the Salesian family. It is a time when we remember the life and legacy of a young boy who dedicated himself to God and exemplified the values of kindness, service, and love. As we celebrated this day with the first communions of our young members, we were reminded of the importance of nurturing and guiding our children in their faith journey.
The Salesian Family Youth Center in Los Angeles is committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for our young members to grow in their faith. The celebration of St. Dominic Savio and the first communions were a testament to this commitment. The ceremony was filled with solemnity and reverence, with the young members dressed in their finest attire and eagerly awaiting their turn to receive the Body of Christ.
As the Salesian family, we believe that it is our responsibility to provide our young members with a solid foundation in their faith. The celebration of St. Dominic Savio and the first communions were a beautiful manifestation of this belief. It was a day that will be cherished by all who participated, a day that marked a significant milestone in the faith journey of our young members.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the young members who received their first communion on this special day. We also express our gratitude to all the volunteers, catechists, and staff who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the celebration. Let us continue to nurture the faith of our young members and guide them in their journey towards spiritual fulfillment.
