(Rosemead, California) – Don Bosco Technical Institute rising seniors interning at MUSE TV this summer skillfully did it again!
Tomas Diego Carranza (MAT)—on the microphone—cameraman Nicholas Renteria (MSET) and Liam Lopez (MAT) on B-Cam used their journalism and filming acumen at the recent “Smurfs” movie red carpet event at the Boyle Heights Arts Conservancy.
On the red carpet, Tomas did a great job interviewing Angeleno actor Xolo Maridueña, who voices the character of “Brainy Smurf” in the new Paramount Pictures animated musical to be released on July 18. They discussed Xolo’s early acting career; the actor has had roles in the NBC drama Parenthood, Netflix hit Cobra Kai, and the DC Comics superhero film Blue Beetle.
The full interview can be found on MUSE TV’s multiple platforms including its YouTube Channel, Amazon Fire TV Application, Website, Apple News Channel, and Google Newsstand.
Tech alum Michael Sandoval, (EL‘93) founded MUSE TV, initially covering music, sports and entertainment news, in 2012. The company has expanded and is currently being seen in 132 countries, with the YouTube channel currently receiving 11 million views.
Thank you, Mr. Sandoval, for this outstanding real-world opportunity for these Techmen!
