Empowering Latina Leaders: A Night to Remember

(Los Angeles, California) – On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, seven young women leaders from the Salesian Family Youth Center had the incredible opportunity to attend the Latina Public Service Academy 2025 Summer Reception — an inspiring evening celebrating powerful Latina voices in public service.

Seeing leaders like Commissioner Jenny Chavez, Councilmember Imelda Padilla, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, and Tracey Chavira reminded our girls that they, too, can lead, serve, and transform their communities.
