(Bellflower, California) – On January 10, a meaningful day of spiritual reflection took place at the Parish Hall of Santo Domingo Savio, centered on the Rector Major’s Strenna for 2026 with the theme “Do whatever He tells you.” The gathering invited participants to renew their commitment to faith, service, and joyful hope.
Members of the Salesian Family took part in this event, including SSCC, Salesian Ladies, ADMA, RICA, and Salesian Alumni Without Borders. Together, they shared a space of prayer, dialogue, and fraternity that strengthened their sense of mission and unity.
The day was animated by Sister Martina Ponce and Sister Neida Carreido, FMA, who guided the participants through moments of reflection and spiritual formation. Their leadership helped deepen the understanding of the Strenna’s message and encouraged everyone to live it out in daily life.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Father Joe Farías, who emphasized the importance of listening to God’s voice and responding with generosity, following Mary’s example of faith, trust, and joyful obedience.
The main objective of the day was to offer a profound spiritual guide for the different groups, encouraging them to walk a path of active faith through three essential attitudes: to look attentively at reality, to listen with an open heart, and to choose to act with Christian responsibility. Inspired by Mary as a model, participants were called to respond with hope and joy to the needs of young people and the world today.
In conclusion, this spiritual gathering proved to be a positive and enriching experience, strengthening the bonds within the Salesian Family and renewing their commitment to bring the Gospel to life through service, faith, and community.
