Robert Ramirez Appointed Assistant Dean of Students at Salesian High School

(Los Angeles, California) – Salesian High School is welcoming a familiar face into a new leadership role as Robert Ramirez, a proud Salesian alumnus from the Class of 2007, has been appointed Assistant Dean of Students.

For Mr. Ramirez, the appointment represents more than a new position. It is another opportunity to give back to the Salesian community that helped shape his own life and to continue accompanying young people as they grow in confidence, character, and faith.

Over the years, Ramirez has served the Salesian community in many different capacities. He has worked as a teacher and school counselor, coached both baseball and soccer, and spent countless hours mentoring and supporting young people. Through each of these roles, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to the students and families of Salesian High School.

His experience as an educator, counselor, coach, and mentor gives him a unique perspective as he begins his new responsibilities. As Assistant Dean of Students, Ramirez will help strengthen a school environment where students feel safe, welcomed, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

“I’m excited to continue serving the Salesian community in this new role,” Ramirez shared. “As a proud Salesian alumnus from the Class of 2007, I previously spent the last four years as our school counselor and many years mentoring and working with the youth.”

His journey from Salesian student to educator and now school leader is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of a Salesian education. The values and relationships experienced during a young person’s time at a Salesian school can inspire them to return and become mentors and leaders for a new generation.

Ramirez’s appointment also reflects the Salesian tradition of accompanying young people with presence, care, and encouragement. Following the example of St. John Bosco, Salesian educators seek not only to educate students but also to walk alongside them, creating communities where young people know they are valued and believed in.

As he begins this new chapter, the Salesian community looks forward to the continued impact of Ramirez’s leadership and his commitment to the young people entrusted to the school’s care.

His story is, in many ways, a Salesian story: a student who was formed by a community and who now returns to help form and accompany others.

Salesian High School congratulates Robert Ramirez on his new role and gives thanks for his continued dedication to the school community and its mission to educate, accompany, and empower young people.
