The Pandemic did not stop the Rel.Edu-CCD program at Ss. Peter & Paul Church. With the sudden halt of all in-person religious education programs last March, and the uncertainty surrounding when to come back, the 2020-2021 school year started late in September. And it has been going on Sunday after Sunday. To end the 2020 year, we had two Sundays of activities. On Dec. 6, we had our annual Living Rosary via Zoom. The students, teachers, and parents were assigned to lead in either the rosary meditation or prayers, while placing a sticker on a sheet of the Holy Rosary.

After praying, we had a rosary making project. The students were mailed the beads and materials ahead of time and we all strung the rosary together. The following Sunday we had our CCD virtual Mass together, after which we did a Christmas tree sticker project and a lantern stained glass project to be completed during the Christmas break. Deacon Edward blessed all the rosaries virtually online.

This year with all its ups and downs, there are many things to be thankful for, most especially for the gift of being healthy with our families. May the Christmas season continue to bring peace, joy, love and a hope-filled New Year 2021.
