Praise the Lord! The Los Angeles Salesian Community and St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church celebrated the Golden Jubilee of priesthood of Fr. John Lam, SDB. Fr. Lam is a humble servant of God. A kind and dedicated shepherd, he regularly visits the sick and elderly at any time of the day. Fr. Lam entered the Salesian Minor Seminary in Hong Kong in 1957, was ordained on June 26, 1971, in St. James Catholic Church at McMinnville, Oregon where his family was. His path of service includes roles in education as a teacher, principal, to his current assignment as Pastor at Saint Bridget for the last 16 years.
Full of gratitude to the merciful and almighty God, Fr. Lam gave thanks to God with a Mass on the exact date of his ordination 50 years ago. The people of Saint Bridget reciprocate Fr. Lam’s devotion to the community, a large number of parishioners return their love and joined him in the Thanksgiving Mass.

The Los Angeles Salesian Community led by Fr. James Nieblas, Director of the community, celebrated Fr. John Lam’s 50 years of priesthood with a delicious dinner which included American, Spanish and Chinese dishes. This celebration dinner in addition to Fr. James Nieblas and Fr.
