Feast Day Mass of St. John Bosco at St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church

Greetings from St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church. On January 31, 2021, we were honored to have Fr. Mel Trinidad, the new Provincial of the Province of St. Andrew, and our good friend Fr. James Nieblas, Salesian Director of Los Angeles, joined Fr. John Lam in celebrating the Feast Day Mass of St. John Bosco. The celebration Mass took place in our Church courtyard, following the Archdiocese’ safety guidelines and protocols, with masks and social distance.

Fr. Mel shared with us his unique relationship with Salesian priests when he was a youth in the Philippines. It was not a rigid, formal relationship, but a friendly, warm, and caring relationship. We seek to emulate that spirit at St. Bridget by welcoming the youth and thank Fr. Mel for being a good role model.

As a part of the Feast Day Mass, Edmond Ngo led sixteen Salesian Cooperators in renewing their promise. We are grateful for the faith and commitment of our St. Bridget Cooperators to serve our Church and its people.
