Provincial Announcement: 125 Years – Salesian Mission Day

To my Salesian Confreres and to the Salesian Family:

This Friday, March 11, is our Province Salesian Mission Day. This date has a special significance to us. It was on this date 125 years ago when the first four Salesian Missionaries sent by Fr. Michael Rua, the Successor of Don Bosco, celebrated the First Mass at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in San Francisco.

Each year the Salesian congregation invites the Provinces to promote the proclamation of the Gospel and reflect on a missionary theme. This year’s theme is “Communicating Christ Today!” I encourage all of you to attend this one-hour Zoom event promoting the missionary culture of our Salesian vocation.

God bless.
Fr. Mel
