Salesian High School Mustang Unveiled

It started with a vision; we found the artist, and that dream came to life. Bishop Mora Salesian High School celebrated history in the making on Friday, May 17, 2024, with the unveiling of the historic “Once A Mustang” monument. This vision was brought to life by artist and alumnus, Dan Medina ‘86, who made this possible. Congratulations to our Advancement Team, along with the guidance of school leaders, and the support of our alumni who made this day possible for our families and friends of Salesian High School. “Once A Mustang, Always A Mustang!”

SJBHS First Graduating Class for Film & Media Pathway

This year is a special one for our Film & Media Arts Pathway, which will be graduating its first group of seniors on Friday! Each student has now completed their Capstone Film – a culmination of over a year’s worth of writing, workshopping, planning, filming and editing. They have spent the last 4 years learning and honing their craft as young, multi-talented filmmakers. It is with great pride that we’re able to say that each of them plan to pursue film and/or media studies in college and beyond. Here they are last weekend at our Senior Capstone Premiere Night. Congratulations to the big winners of the night, Jerrod Montgomery (Best Picture) and Anthony Cosme (Best Screenplay).

Wind Walkers Book in the Making

On April 26th, the Salesian Family Youth Center hosted a photo session for the talented young authors
from the After School Program at Roosevelt High School, part of the SHOUT initiative. These
incredible youths are in the process of writing a book titled “Wind Walkers,” which dives
deep into their personal journeys, showcasing the trials and triumphs that have shaped them
into the leaders they are today.
